Individual (Class or Event) Learning Modules

Design a learning plan for each course meeting to maximize instructional effectiveness and inform students of the expected outcomes for each meeting.  Some instructors distribute these learning plans as class agendas, study guides, newsletters,  or class meeting modules.  Use a format that works in your discipline.

Module Learning Outcome(s)

Describe the essential, independently repeatable cognitive or psychomotive student behavior(s) obtained in this module (from course outline).

Activities

Describe the assignments and procedures required for students to achieve (demonstrate) each outcome. Include all necessary preparation and resources.

Assessment of Student Performance

Specify:

  • explicit behavior each assessment will measure
  • activity to be performed by the student to demonstrate the specific outcome
